Camp Sekani Trim and Trail Event
Service Project Name: Camp Sekani Trim and Trail Event

Location: Camp Sekani (near the upriver dam and Minehaha park.)
Activity/responsibility: 1. General clean up of the park. 2. Creating new bike/hiking trails. 3. Clearing some scrub pine from an area. 4. Improving some mountain bike jump and elevated trail wooden support components. 5. Moving some rock from a pile to an area where the rock can be used to 'coblestone' a trailhead.
Tools or skills required:
Shovels, rakes, gloves, tree limb loppers, good walking shoes and a smile! Water container for personal use, sun screen and other weather appropriate attire
Appropriate Ages: Ages: 3 and up
Additional Notes:
is a park that is largely undeveloped and is owned and maintained by the Spokane Parks and Recreation department. It has multiple uses including mountain biking, hiking and day camping There will also be a light lunch that will be served to participants. This is intended to be a short, (2-3 hours) fun event that many people can attend to enhance the beauty and usability of this wonderful rescource to the Spokane Community. Please come and bring a friend! We already have commitment from the Fat Tire Club and the support of the Spokane Parks and Recreation people. We will be contacting other local agencies and groups for potential participation.

Next committee meeting will be held at Camp Sekani on July 30 (Sat) at the camp at 10:00 am.
